Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Asset Compressor (“we”, “us”), operated by NexixLabs (Muhammad Sohaib and Luqman Ahmad), handles when you use this website. The short version: your images and videos never leave your device.

1. Your images, videos and files

All image and video reading, compression, conversion, resizing, AI background removal and ZIP creation happen locally in your browser using WebAssembly, WebCodecs, WebGPU and Web Workers. Your files, their contents, file names, metadata (such as EXIF or GPS location) and folder structure are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. When you save results to a folder, your browser writes them directly to your disk after asking for your permission.

2. Components your browser downloads

Some tools need extra components the first time you use them. Your browser downloads them directly from these providers, which – like any website – receive standard request data such as your IP address and browser type. They never receive your files.

• AI background remover: the open-source IS-Net segmentation model (Apache-2.0 licence) is downloaded from Hugging Face (huggingface.co), and the ONNX Runtime engine from the jsDelivr CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net).
• Video tools, compatibility mode: for older browsers and formats such as AVI, the FFmpeg WebAssembly engine is downloaded from the jsDelivr CDN.

These components are stored in your browser’s cache so they don’t need to be downloaded again.

3. Information stored in your browser

We use your browser’s local storage only for preferences: your light/dark theme choice and whether you have seen our cookie notice. The site also stores its own code and the components described above in your browser cache so it can load quickly and work offline. None of this identifies you personally.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

To keep Asset Compressor free, we show ads served by Google AdSense.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s consent message before personalized ads are shown.

5. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit and which pages they use. Analytics never receives your images, videos or file names. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or any content blocker.

6. Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider automatically receives standard request data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs never contain your files.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we don’t collect your files or create accounts, we generally hold no personal data about you. For data processed by Google for advertising, use the Google links above. For anything else, contact us.

8. Children

Asset Compressor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
